Who is My Mortgage?

What we're all about at My Mortgage?

Businesses are nothing without the people in them and we LOVE our people here at My Mortgage. We hear all the time from clients that the reason they keep coming back and referring us to their friends and family is because of the relationships they have with us. As much as our clients love working with us, we are addicted to the feeling of solving their problems and giving the best service and advice to our them.

Meet the My Mortgage team

Adam Thompson
Mortgage Adviser - Company Director

Adam has been a Mortgage Adviser since 2007 and started My Mortgage in 2012 in an effort to deliver a more personalized service to his clients using all of the benefits of available technology and to cut down on the jargon used by a lot of banks and Financial Advisers.

Adam has recently built a new house on 30 acres near Cambridge so when he's not talking Mortgages he'll be on the farm with his family or in the bush.

As someone in his early 30's, a property investor and having bought his first home at 18, Adam can see the lending process from a number of different angles and really enjoys getting to know his clients well so that he can achieve the best result in the long term. He keeps saying that he'll be doing this until he retires and is looking for clients who want certainty of service in the long term and can build a long term relationship to get the best home loans options and ongoing advice

Claire Williamson (Martin)
Mortgage Adviser - Shareholder

Claire joined the My Mortgage team in 2015 following an OE and previous experience in Sports Management, Accounting and Retail. Her enthusiastic approach to giving people real old fashioned service and working tirelessly for a great result has seen her strike up some excellent client relationships and she's always looking for more.

Claire is passionate about working with first home buyers and those people who want that hands on service with all of the jargon explained in simple terms.

She lives rurally near Cambridge and when she's not working she loves hanging out with her animals, growing things in the garden, climbing mountains and exploring all the awesome things NZ has to offer.

Greg Wallace
Mortgage Adviser - Shareholder

Greg joined the My Mortgage team in 2019 after working in education as a primary school teacher and then in customer experience roles in the software industry.

He just loves helping people. As long as he has problems to solve and people to talk to, Greg is a happy camper.

Greg, his wife and their 3 children have recently built a home in Cambridge and love the Waipa lifestyle of being central to everything and getting to live in New Zealand's "most beautiful large town" (As decided in the Keep New Zealand Beautiful Awards, 2019)

Hannah Dyer
Lending Process Manager - Shareholder

Hannah joined the team in 2017 having previously worked as a Bank Manager for Westpac and in Insurance Support roles which have given her the perfect background to run the lending part of our business.

Hannah lives on the outskirts of Hamilton with her husband Ant and two exceptionally cute wee ones, Harvey & Hazel.

Hannah is in charge of compiling the perfect loan application and making sure we get the best offer from the bank.

While Adam, Claire & Greg are the advisers who you'll discuss all of this detail with, Hannah is the one who makes it happen by negotiating with the banks and ensuring we're putting your best foot forward!

Amber Helm
Lending Support

Amber is a qualified Accountant and joined the team in 2018.

She's a gun Squash player (arguably the best in the company) and loves to travel.

When she's at work she'll be the one making some great stuff happen behind the scenes.  It's like that if Adam and Claire are talking about getting things done for you then Amber will be making them happen.

You'll deal with Amber for loan reviews and loan acceptances.  Her attention to detail and fun attitude make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible.

Flo Whittaker
Lending Support

Flo is our resident "systems person" and after spending several years in the UK with her family, returned to Cambridge with her husband Gerard and two daughters.

You'll often hear from Flo as she organises information for your loan application, and she's a whiz with forms and sorting things with the bank before your settlement date. She's the super-friendly, helpful person on the other end of the phone or an email and goes above and beyond to make sure the process is smooth for you!

She lives in a native tree paradise up on Maungakawa hill and loves horseriding and playing squash in her spare time.

And when we're not taking ourselves too seriously...
